We are looking for a capable and passionate individual who is confident running designing and hosting a range of events, such as short courses, workshops, and clubs. As manager of the Praetorium, the AI and Digital Skills Centre for South Ormsby Estate, you will be leading the transformation of this brand new, state of the art digital centre into a thriving hub for Lincolnshire's rural community. The ideal candidate is confident working with Microsoft office, AI models such as ChatGPT and Microsoft CoPilot, and has a knack for creative problem solving, a can-do attitude and a proactive, positive outlook on business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design and deliver a programme of activities that support and engage our rural community.
- These will be in a variety of styles, including but not limited to:
- Courses & workshops: Teaching digital and AI skills through hands-on training and accessible courses.
- Hotdesking & office spaces: For local entrepreneursYouth programmes: To build confidence and careers
- Events, clubs, and community projects: Developing opportunities for local tenants
- Produce and execute and a marketing plan, with campaigns to raise awareness and generate consistent programme signups
- Build awareness and momentum for the Praetorium via social media channels
- Manage the detailed day-to-day aspects of marketing and activity related projects
- Estimate and implement budgets for both the venue and the activities programme
- Set and agree on quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) with the Custodian of the Estate and Managing Director
- Manage and promote the Praetorium’s hotdesking suite to bring in regular users, with promotion particularly tailored to supporting local startup businesses.
Essential Skills:
- Business, Events Management or Marketing qualification or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full Driving Licence
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
- A passion for IT, AI and Digital Skills
- An interest in birds and wildlife
- Background in Hospitality, Events or Marketing
- Confidence in presenting to groups and leading activities
- Experience in CRM tools, Visitor feedback systems, and online booking platforms
