About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team at South Ormsby Estate. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations across a diverse rural estate.

This is a dual-aspect role that combines administrative coordination with practical, on-the-ground involvement. The successful candidate will contribute equally to office-based tasks and physical outdoor work. From managing logistics and documentation to actively participating in estate maintenance and project delivery, this role requires a hands-on approach and a readiness to engage directly in the operational activities that drive progress across the estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of estate projects, including events, tours, and general operations
  • Support the project management team with scheduling, logistics, and administrative tasks
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient operations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and reporting
  • Help implement and improve operational processes and systems
  • Provide hands-on support during estate events, seasonal campaigns, and community initiatives
  • Participate in manual and outdoor tasks as required to support the successful execution of estate projects

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A flexible, can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved in a variety of task
  • sProficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Previous experience in operations or administration is desirable but not essential
  • A practical mindset and readiness to engage in physical, hands-on work is essential
