The South Ormsby Estate are looking for Trainee Graduates to join the team.

Trainee Graduates required - Accommodation Available for a small fee

Location – South Ormsby, Lincolnshire

Hours: 25 hours per week – Minimum wage

This is a Kickstart position therefore you would need to:
Either register or be in receipt of Universal credit.
Eligible for Kickstart (16-24)
Referred by a job coach at the jobcentre after we have approved your application.

The village of South Ormsby is an estate of c3000 acres nestled within the Lincolnshire Wolds and is an area of outstanding natural beauty, rich in wildlife. The custodians of the South Ormsby Estate are restoring the heritage of the estate and rejuvenating the local economy. Building upon a historic past and using the latest technology their vision is to create the best place to invest, work, live, play and retire to. In short the aim is to create the best farming estate in the world.

Amongst other ventures, South Ormsby Estate homes Native Pedigree Lincoln Red cattle. This particular breed are on the endangered list with only 450 breeding Native Pedigree Lincoln Red cattle in the UK, 200 of these at South Ormsby.

Trainee Graduates – The Role:

We are currently seeking talented and enthusiastic graduates to join our scheme. It is a six month placement. During the six months you will rotate across a wide variety of roles on the Estate, spending your time learning all the different aspects of each job. You will be working hands-on and from home alongside team members to assist with the current and future vision of the Estate. This will allow you to develop new skills and discover talents you did not know you had! A successful candidate should have a keen interest in experiencing all aspects of working life on a historic farming estate and demonstrate a willingness to try all of the different roles.

Trainee Graduates - Duties and responsibilities:


Over the six months you will get a unique and exciting opportunity to spend time working in several aspects of Estate life to include but not limited to:

- Estate Management

- Heritage Breed Cattle management

- Grounds-Keeping

- Massingberd-Mundy Products (Estate branded produce)

- Finance

Trainee Graduates - Skills and Knowledge:

- General IT skills

- Good organisational and time management skills

- Ability to think outside the box and show imagination

- Aware of safety on the Estate

Trainee Graduates - Personal attributes and other requirements:

- Shows attention to detail in all aspects of their work and a commitment to excellence in all areas

- Self-motivated, respectful, sociable, organised, trustworthy and punctual.

- Clean and tidy in appearance
 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a hands-on approach and interested in learning how an Estate works.
